The Magus is a gift bestowed on mankind at the whim of the gods.  It can be a joy or a curse.  Which depends on the one who wields it.  The Magus may be nurtured and channeled with selfless generosity or hoarded and twisted into a force of unspeakable evil.  Given the flawed nature of mortals, the gift is as easily manifested as hatred and destruction as love and healing.   But, whatever form it takes, the Magus cannot be denied by its wielder.  To do so is to go against divine intention and the gods do not deal softly with those who would disregard their will.
