The Verga is a rich, green land of prosperous farms, bustling trade routes and graceful fortified cities.

In Galathil's legendary capital, pairs of turreted towers rise above the tree tops blooming at their tops in graceful crenellations.   While below, the palace walls plunge down in long pillars.  Intricately carved from blocks of russet flecked granite, each one is a unique work of art designed to blend with the trunks of the tall evergreens interspersed every few feet along the base of the fortress.   Clusters of slender, slate shingled buildings push up between the pines and then cascade down a gentle slope spreading out for a square mile across the bustling merchant stronghold toward the distant band of sparkling riverbank.  Everywhere exposed support walls and sleek gables glow warmly in the rays of the retreating sun casting long shadows over the city streets partially hidden beneath.   The unaccustomed eye may intently follow the intricate twists and turns of the vast network of cobble and smooth stone and living tree but soon will be hopelessly bewildered by the city's grace..
